Class 1

Welcome to Class 1

Class 1 are lucky to have a large spacious classroom built in 2006 with a lovely outdoor area. In the EYFS we deliver continuous provision allowing the children to access both the indoor and outdoor learning areas.  Children can explore in the mud kitchen, growing area, water and sand areas as well as writing and maths challenge areas. We believe that children learn best when in engaged in meaningful play and experiences.

Every Wednesday, we dedicate a lot of our learning outside, 'Wildlife' Wednesdays incorporate a lot of Forest School activities and explorations. We put on our wellies and explore our school environment, looking at changes through the seasons, hunting for mini beasts, build dens and even light mini fires!

Our Class teacher is Miss Mogg, our Teaching Assistant is Miss Stokes and Mrs Sutcliffe is an apprentice class teacher who is in the class most days. We are lucky to also have the support of our Forest School Leaders on Wednesday: Mr Edwards.

The staff at Hoath Primary School are currently in the process of re-working the curriculum, so that we are able to deliver an education to the children that is appropriate and inclusive to all. Once complete, each class timetable and Long Term Plan will be shown here on the website.

We have also re-drafted the schools Vision Statement which we hope encapsulates the school.

‘We provide a welcoming, friendly and safe environment, within a culture of mutual respect and acceptance, where everyone learns together to gain life skills, values and self-confidence to set them on the path to achieve their individual dreams and prepare for life as global citizens.’
