Hoath School Council

The School Council is led by Mrs Phillipson and their purpose is to ensure that all of the children are involved in decisions affecting all aspects of the life of Hoath Primary School.  It supports pupil involvement and personal development through activities such as organising fund-raising for a chosen charity.  The School Council meet once a week to discuss any problems or ideas the school community may have.

Last academic year, the children on the Council made some brilliant changes to school, including helping to improve the play equipment. We are now the proud owners of a outdoor ‘Jungle-Gym’, which is enjoyed by all children throughout the school.

Representatives serve for 3 terms over a period of 1 academic year. Elections have now taken place and the new council is already hard at work.

At our first meeting, the Council will create an ‘action plan’ where we set out what we will do each term. Decisions will be made concerning which charities to support and how we can improve the school. The Council will also think about the best possible ways to raise monies for both the school and for the chosen charities. The action plan will be posted once completed. Watch this space!
