Term 5 Week 5 Planning
Monday 18th May 2020
Dear Archie, Eva, Harriet, Starr, Georgi, Evie W, Ben, Evie C, Troy, Mollie, Dylan, Henry, Kealey, Alice, Jake, James, Lily, Ella, Emmie, Edie, Monty, Louie, Cameron, Charlie, Nicole, Jack and Leo! (and all your new teachers!)
Yet another week has gone by without having the pleasure of seeing or hearing you and that makes me feel quite sad! Fingers crossed that it won’t be for too much longer! I hope that your week has been productive and that you have all been keeping yourselves (and your brains) busy with either academic work or other fun activities.
Once again, I have seen and heard about many wonderful examples of what you have been up to on the PTFA Facebook page. I’m really glad that you are staying active and doing stuff!
I’m sure that your new teachers have told you about the decisions that are currently being made by the government regarding education and how that affects all of you. At the moment, the return of children to school doesn’t necessarily apply to your year groups so there’s no changes for you at the moment. However, it will involve you if you have siblings in those specific year groups because they may return to school. So - no teasing them about it!!
I know that Mrs Noake has sent an email to all your new teachers to let them know how we, at Chiset, aim to ensure a safe, clean and sterile environment for returning children and staff. Because I haven’t been able to be with the ‘key worker’ children at Hoath, I have been busy at Chislet school during the last few weeks painting and decorating to make it look (and smell) cleaner and fresher! Mrs Royer painted the boy’s toilets this week!!!! Luckily, she lives to tell the tale! She’s planning to paint the girl’s toilets next week while I focus on painting the walls in our classroom.
This week the focus for your Numeracy work is Roman Numerals and in Literacy you have been set tasks to do on verbs and adverbs. I hope that you enjoy completing some of the activities.
If everything goes well with the children returning to school then, hopefully, you will also resume your education back in your classroom at school. I am sure that your new teachers need a well-deserved break for all their hard work in keeping you motivated and learning throughout this ordeal!
Be Good, Stay Safe and look after each other! Love Mrs Tutt
