Week Beginning 08/02/21
Week beginning Monday 8th February 2021.
Hi there to all the home learners and resident teachers of children in Class 3!
Snow! Snow! Snow! I hope you all had at least a little bit of snow to enjoy! Whether you went out for to play, sledge or simply watched it from the window! Personally, I was happy to watch from the window until I had to take my daughter out to her electric car which was being charged at a ‘charge point’ along Herne Bay seafront! It took me fifteen minutes to scrape the snow off my car to make it safe to drive!
I have heard lots of positive comments about the work that I have been setting for you which is very encouraging. The book, ‘Mr Stink’, appears to be a popular choice and is quite amusing to read.
After half-term we are moving on to Fractions as our Numeracy topic. You will soon recognise how times tables are linked to Fractions, so please keep practicing with your times tables activities.
I have been copying whole packs of all the activities for parents to collect from school. If you would like me to copy a pack for you – then let me know. I prepare them on a Friday ready for the following week (they will be ready this Friday 12-2-21 for the week following half-term 22-2-21) for you to collect.
I have noticed that some people who have requested copies have not collected them which means such a waste of paper, so please only request the packs if you really need them.
The ‘Zoom’ meeting was good fun again last Wednesday. I will book another ‘Zoom’ slot for Wednesday 10th February so I hope some of you can make it. It’s so good to see your smiling faces! You don’t have to join in if you don’t want to, you could just smile and wave!!
Every week I will stress that, as a school, we are all here to help you. If there is anything that you need from me; being it advice, information, resources or simply just a chat, then please email or call the school office and I will respond as soon as I can to support whatever it is.
Remember if you require a work pack of all the activities for the week (including answers!) please let me know and I will prepare it for you.
I hope that you have another great week and enjoy doing some of the tasks I have prepared for you x
Have a super, well deserved half-term break next week!
Be Good, Stay Safe and look after each other! Love Mrs Tutt xx
