Week Beginning 25/01/21

Week beginning Monday 25th January 2021.

Hi there to all the home learners and resident teachers of children in Class 3!

Well, we were all secretly hoping for snow but it didn’t happen. I did have to scrape the ice off my car windows a few times and put a few extra layers of clothing on so it was certainly colder! We moved the rabbit indoors too from the outhouse because his water bottle froze up!

I hope that you found some of the work I set for you last week interesting and enjoyable and you managed to do selected sort of educational stuff to keep your minds active!

I really enjoyed the ‘Zoom’ meeting on Wednesday.  It was so good to see so many of you. I appreciate that technology and the internet aren’t always working very well but nevertheless it was great, especially when we all got to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Harry!!! I shall arrange for another zoom meeting this Wednesday (27th) when we could meet virtually again! I will send details nearer the time!

Did you manage to tune into the Science session PTFA had organised last Wednesday? Although there were some technical hitches to begin with, it was very entertaining. My experiments didn’t work quite as well as Becca’s did but, judging by the images that were put on the PTFA Facebook page, yours went really well.

The work that I have prepared for you in Literacy centres around the story of ‘Mr Stink’ and each day you have a chapter to study. With each chapter there are a selection of activities for you to choose from depending on how studious you feel! Some of you are requesting more work to do, while others are requesting less! I completely understand if one day you feel like doing lots and lots, and on others you only want to read the chapter and answer the questions. Everybody’s day is different at the moment so please don’t worry about it!

Every week I will stress that, as a school, we are all here to help you. If there is anything that you need; being it advice, information, resources or simply just a chat, then please email or call the school and I will respond as soon as I can to support whatever it is.

Following some parents requests last week I have prepared work packs with everything printed off for some children which I can do on a Friday (when I am at School) ready for the following week – if you also need this then let me know and I will add you to the list!

I hope that you have another great week and enjoy doing some of the tasks I have prepared for you x

Be Good, Stay Safe and look after each other!            Love Mrs Tutt xx
